Whether you’re looking for a rugged off-road vehicle or a stylish crossover for everyday commutes, the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport doubles as both. Offering standard four-wheel drive, up to 8.8 inches of ground clearance, a comfortable interior, and all the latest tech features inside and out, this edition is up for just about any adventure. So if you haven’t sat down in the driver’s seat and taken this versatile crossover for a test drive yet, here are five features that make it worth a closer look.

1. A Powerful 2.0L Engine

Although both of the engines offered for the 2023 edition are impressive, with the base option being a 181-horsepower 1.5-liter, it’s the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that steals the spotlight. This four-cylinder engine produces an impressive 250-horsepower output, as well as 277-pound-feet of torque. When combining all this with its Auto Start-Stop technology, it provides the vehicle with a unique combination of excellent acceleration, strength, and fuel efficiency and allows it to achieve an estimated 26 mpg on highways.

2. SYNC 3 Infotainment

The SYNC 3 infotainment system is easily one of the more impressive features offered with this edition, as it offers entertainment options and smartphone connectivity, as well as access to navigation assistance. Using your choice of either voice commands or the system’s eight-inch touchscreen display, you can use this feature to play multimedia files, access apps, make calls to contacts stored on your smartphone, or ask for route instructions to your next destination.

3. Terrain Management

Not only does this edition offer two four-wheel-drive systems, a standard one in lower trims and a more advanced one in upper trims, but also G.O.A.T. Modes: a system that lets you switch into different driving modes depending on your surroundings. With this feature, you can switch from Normal to Eco mode to conserve fuel, Sport mode for greater engine response, and to take on tougher terrains, there are Sand, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Rock Crawl modes.

4. Adaptive Cruise Control

This SUV’s Adaptive Cruise Control feature is not only able to maintain a pre-selected speed whenever possible but also adjusts the vehicle’s speed to match changing traffic conditions. With its Stop-and-Go function, this system can accelerate and brake the vehicle as needed to help you keep your distance from other vehicles, and its Lane-Centering technology uses cameras to detect lane markers, which can keep the vehicle centered within its lane while cruising highways.

5. A Camera for Trails

While parking lots are made easier with the vehicle’s Rear View Camera, off-road adventures are enhanced by a separate camera that provides 180-degree views of your surroundings. Located inside the vehicle’s front grille, this camera connects to the eight-inch screen inside the cabin, providing wide, split-view visuals of the trail in front of you and low-lying objects that may be in your way.

The 2023 edition clearly has some impressive features, from its tech-laden cabin to its many off-road enhancements, though those covered here are simply a sneak preview.
